Not just agents — we export culture.
Born in January 2023, Babylon – The Agency is the passion project of Joy Mardini and William Wehbe, where the Middle East’s design talent gets the loudspeaker it deserves.
We’re not just agents—we’re cultural powerhouses. We’re here to take the region’s creativity from the workshop to the world stage, proving that Middle Eastern design isn’t just part of the conversation—it is the conversation.
From sparking collaborations to brokering game-changing partnerships, we connect our designers to industry giants, shaking up the global design ecosystem.
We don’t just manage talent. We promote it. We propel it. We champion it. Because exporting culture isn’t our job—it’s our mission.
More than design agents—we're cultural curators, creative catalysts, and advocates of Middle Eastern talent.
Meet the Team
“Over the past decade, the Middle East has become a fertile ground for exceptional design. At BABYLON The Agency, our mission is to uncover the right platforms and partnerships that allow our region’s designers to thrive and resonate internationally. As an Architect and Entrepreneur, I am able to identify opportunities in projects especially in the hospitality industry, and accompany our clients in the process of aligning visionary design with commercial impact. Whether it’s sourcing collectible pieces, commissioning site-specific work, or shaping the creative direction of a space, I see each project as a chance to bridge culture and functionality — and to showcase the depth of talent emerging from our region.” William Wehbe
“I’ve always believed that design is one of the most powerful ways to tell a story. With over two decades as an art consultant, gallerist, auctioneer, and cultural entrepreneur, I’ve dedicated my work to building bridges between creativity and context. As co-founder of BABYLON – The Agency, I navigate the space where culture meets commerce, guiding clients through a process that aligns meaning with impact. Whether commissioning, curating, or consulting, I see every project as a platform to celebrate the design talent emerging from our region.” Joy Mardini
